Nowadays, less and less people trust marketers. It’s sad, but true. One way we can overcome this is by having a human tone on our social channels. Don’t look at this as being “unprofessional” or “silly”. It’s smart! And it’s one way to win over audiences.
DISCLAIMER: We don’t recommend being “cute” when it can hinder SEO. This means, avoid quirky language when search is important (i.e. blog titles, Pinterest boards, video titles, etc.)
A couple of ways you can sound more like a human on social media (other than the “feelings” tags) are:
- Including emojis
- Adding exclamation points! (One at a time, please! Don’t add a bunch of them, like this!!!!!!!!)
- Including fun language in your posts like, “Heck yes!” or “Can’t wait!”
- Focus on EMOTION rather than INFORMATION. Landing pages are for information. Social media posts are meant for enticing and engaging your audience.
It’s sounds simple, but it’s even easier to sound like a robot on social media. Don’t be that person.
