How to Natively Schedule Posts on Instagram


Recently, Instagram users have been given the ability to publish and schedule Instagram posts directly from Facebook’s Creator Studio on desktop, making content creation and scheduling even more efficient than ever before! The update will even allow you to tag the location and tag users in the post, along with also publish IGTV content right from the platform. Follow these quick and easy steps to learn how to schedule and post your content on Instagram with Facebook’s Creator Studio! 

First off, make sure that your Instagram account is connected to Facebook. If you’ve already been running ads on Facebook and Instagram, you should be all set. If not, you can follow these steps to get it set up.

Next, begin to craft a post by following these steps:

1. Make sure all of your content, including your caption, is ready to upload. 

 

2. Open Creator Studio and make sure that your Instagram account is selected from the dropdown menu at the top. This step is especially important if you have multiple Instagram accounts connected to Facebook. 



3. Click “Create Post” in the top left-hand corner and select “IGTV” or “Instagram Feed.” Choose “Instagram Feed” if you’re going for a typical post.



4. Use the crop tools to adjust your content accordingly, then add your caption, location and tags. You can also upload multiple images here if your post contains multiple images.


5. Finally, either click “Publish” or “Schedule” to get things going!

After your post is scheduled in the queue, you’ll be able to click on the post in your Content Library to see what it will look like in the Instagram feed! You can also refer back to this page to track Instagram metrics including reach, impressions and interactions with the post after it goes live!

The process of using Instagram Live Video appears to work similar to Facebook Live where a user’s camera will fire up to broadcast. No word just yet when this feature will roll out globally.

The new design shifts the focus of the site away from the simple hotel reviews the site was once known for. The new TripAdvisor redesign looks to capitalize on the huge growth in bookings on the site. In fact, TripAdvisor reports a 150% increase in bookings year-over-year, underlying the importance for such a redesign.

Along with the redesign, a new strapline, “Know Better. Book Better. Go Better” lets site visitors know right away they can educate themselves and book through TripAdvisor for a better travel experience. Read more

Pinterest Promoted VideoPinterest Promoted Video ads are now available to advertisers on the social network. The announcement came earlier this week as Pinterest appears to look to take a cut of the massive number of video views on social media.

However, these ads are more than simple video view ads. Pinterest Promoted Video ads allow for clickable Pins to be integrated directly into the video. Wondering how that looks? Check out the video below.

Pinterest claims that early results indicated Promoted Video ads were four times more memorable than non-video ads. These types of ads an even be saved and watched later.

Instagram Not Slowing Snapchat Down

We recently wrote about Instagram Stories and how they may impact Snapchat Stories and even platform usage. While it’s still early, a report by SensorTower indicates that there hasn’t been a noticeable decline in Snapchat’s usage.

While Instagram Stories have only been out for two weeks a surge of people trying Instagram Stories over Snapchat does not appear to be happening. This may lead credence to the view that the two platforms will be able to co-exist without cutting too much into one another’s user base.
